D. Todd Diederich is an attorney based in Harrison, Michigan, representing clients throughout Clare County and Mid-Michigan. His practice covers criminal defense, DUI/OWI, family law, divorce, custody, parenting time, personal protection matters, wills and powers of attorney, and personal injury.

Military service
Before practicing law, Todd spent four years in the United States Navy as an enlisted Cryptologist. He completed boot camp in Orlando, Florida and “A” School in Pensacola, Florida, then served overseas for roughly three and a half years. He was repeatedly involved in volunteer work during his service and, having earned his black belt before enlisting, competed in international karate tournaments representing the United States. He received several military medals, letters of appreciation, and commendations.

Education & background
After the Navy, Todd earned an Associate’s in Arts degree as well as an Associate’s in Corrections degree from Mid-Michigan Community College in Harrison. This was followed by a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in Biology and Political Science from Central Michigan University. He went on to law school at Michigan State University, where he served as President of the Owen Graduate Hall Association and completed internships with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and the Isabella County Prosecutor’s Office.
Community involvement
Todd has served on the Board of Directors for the Harrison Chamber of Commerce and has held memberships in a number of professional and civic organizations, including the Michigan Association for Justice, American Legion Post 404, the American Legion Riders, the Moose Lodge, the 40 & 8, and the Clare Rotary Club. He has also coached Harrison Youth Soccer — and, on at least one occasion, won the local DJ battle.
